Grants

In accordance with our Trust Deed, the Foundation provides annual grants towards the hospitals, aged care facilities and community service programmes provided by the Presbyterian Church of Victoria and the Uniting Church in Australia Synod of Victoria of Tasmania, and to other public benevolent institutions in Australia having objects similar to those bodies or to the objects of the former body corporate known as St Andrew's Hospital.

Applying for a Grant

Between 1 February and 31 March of each year, eligible entities are invited to submit an application form to the Foundation requesting a grant of a nominated amount.

In accordance with the Foundation's Trust Deed, to be eligible for a grant, the applicant must currently be endorsed as a deductible gift recipient (DGR) - Item 1 ("doing" charities).​

​

Applicants may request a grant of an amount between $5,000 to $100,000, if supported by the required evidence in the application form.​​​

Every year, the Foundation typically sets aside between $240,000 and $300,000 to provide as grants to eligible entities. The Foundation considers each application on its merits, and in accordance with the Trust Deed.

The Foundation is currently seeking to support projects that are directed at one or more of the following areas:​

​

  1. ​Aged Care / Hospitals

  2. Homelessness

  3. Indigenous Health

  4. Mental Health

  5. Refugee Support
